ClearValue Cards is an independent editorial and comparison publisher. We earn compensation solely through our CardRatings partnership, paid when a reader clicks out to CardRatings from our match tool (see our Advertiser Disclosure). We do not run behavioral advertising and do not place advertising or cross-context targeting cookies on this site. When you click out to CardRatings, CardRatings may set its own cookies to route your click and attribute our compensation. To the extent that click-out could be treated as a “sale” or “share” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state privacy laws, you may opt out as described below.
3. Your choices and opt-outs
a. Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through browser settings. Refer to your browser’s help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the site from working correctly.
b. Opting out of “sale” or “sharing”
Because we do not run behavioral advertising and place no advertising or cross-context targeting cookies, the only compensation-related data flow on this site is the click-out to our partner CardRatings from our match tool. If you wish to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” that click-out could involve, use the manual opt-out in the next section. We do not currently process an automated Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal; if we add support for a universal opt-out signal in the future, we will update this policy to describe it.
c. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
California residents and other state residents with comparable rights may opt out of “sales” and “sharing” of personal information by emailing hello@clearvaluecards.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Include your name, the email address used with our site, and a description of your request. We will verify your identity before responding.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third parties operating on our site, including analytics and error-monitoring providers, and — when you click out to our partner CardRatings — by CardRatings. These third parties may collect information about your activity, and their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
