Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

ClearValue Cards is an independent credit-card comparison publisher. We are committed to making our website and content accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to the plain-English reviews, comparisons, and card research we publish.

Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological impairments.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We continue to test, improve, and remediate areas of the site that do not yet meet our conformance target.

What we’ve done

  • Semantic HTML structure with appropriate landmarks (header, main, footer, nav).
  • Skip-to-content links for keyboard users.
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and meaningful UI components.
  • Descriptive link text and form labels.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images marked accordingly.
  • Support for keyboard-only navigation throughout the site.
  • Respect for the reader’s prefers-reduced-motion preference.

Limitations and ongoing work

Despite our efforts, some content on the site may not yet be fully accessible. Areas where we are continuing to improve include:

  • Third-party content we embed, including some interactive widgets and issuer media;
  • Older PDF documents that may not have a full, tagged text layer;
  • Custom UI components that are still being audited and remediated.

Assistive technologies

Our site is designed to work with current versions of widely used assistive technologies, including screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack), screen magnifiers, and voice-control software, when used with current versions of major web browsers.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, please contact us at hello@clearvaluecards.com.

Please describe the issue in as much detail as you can — for example, the page URL, the assistive technology you are using, and what you expected to happen. We will respond as soon as practicable, generally within five (5) business days, and we will work with you to provide the information you are seeking through an alternative method while we remediate the issue.

This Accessibility Statement was prepared and approved by ClearValue Cards. It is reviewed periodically and updated as our site evolves.
